My Story:
When I tell people how long I’ve worked for The Co-operators, they often ask, “How can you stay in one job for so long?” I tell them I haven’t. That’s the great thing about a career with a group of companies like The Co-operators; you can have a long and varied career while enjoying the benefits of an excellent pension, vacation and benefits plan. And I love the benefit of flex time! Having an extra day off every other week is a wonderful way to recharge and get caught up on life at home.
Whether it is moving from one city to another to explore a new and exciting opportunity or continuing my education and obtaining my professional insurance designation, The Co-operators has supported me along the way. With The Co-operators backing my education, I have the skills and confidence to take on any role.
When people hear that I work for The Co-operators, the first thing they think of is sales. I’m able to tell them that insurance is much more than sales, and that positions exist in a multitude of areas.
I enjoy letting people know where I work and that I’ll continue to work for The Co-operators for as long as I can.
