You have numerous work-life commitments, so wherever possible, we offer flexible work options such as working from home for some select positions.
For those times when you need some time away to balance your personal needs, you’ll receive three paid personal days each year in addition to regular vacation time.
Paid Days to Volunteer
Keeping with our co-operative values, we encourage you to give back to your community. You’ll receive up to two paid volunteer days each year to work with a local organization of your choice.
Employee Assistance Program
Our comprehensive employee assistance program includes a bilingual intranet site as well as telephone and in-person consultation, where you’ll receive information and counselling on parenting, financial and legal issues, healthy lifestyles, nutrition, relationships, emotional well-being, and more.
Wellness Committees & Programming
Staff led and organized, these groups organize wellness programs and events for their local areas. Some events have included a Biggest Loser challenge, Wellness Fairs, Chilli Cook-off, and lunch-hour walking clubs.
In selected locations, we offer on-site flu vaccination clinics, massage therapy, and cafeterias offering healthy food options. Some locations also have on-site fitness facilities, and we offer negotiated fitness membership discounts for staff at local fitness centres.
Of course, we find time to have some fun at work, too, with generously supported staff-run social clubs, holiday parties and sports teams.
